Donating

As a non-profit IRS 501 (3)(c) organization, we would like your consideration for donations of horses, ponies, silent auction items, tack, pipe corrals, etc.

When you donate a beloved horse to us, it immediately becomes a member of the family.  Each horse gets evaluated by his/her personality and suitability for its eventual placement in a home.  Silver Spurs members are given the first opportunity to give the horse a new home.  Since our membership consists of a variety of abilities in English/Western/trail horses/family horses/dressage and jumping, we have a wide range of placement options and needs.  Please consider us for the placement of any and all of your horses; our members have the time and energy to love and care for them.

For more information, or to donate a horse please contact the Fallbrook Silver Spurs board.

Donation Horses

Fallbrook Silver Spurs is currently looking for new donation horses.  All horses will be evaluated for current riding level as was as current market value by a certified equine appraiser.  Please contact Jayne Olson if you would like to donate to our group.  We also accept donation of tack and other equine items.

Thanks!

Some of Our Recent Donations

BIG THANK-YOU to Karen O'Leonard for donating her 10 year old imported Trakener Athos (aka Astaire).  Athos has gone to his new home in Cottonwood, CA to new owner Jessica Dalton.

A big thank you goes out to Luis & Sarah Rena for their generous donation of "Elvis" a beautiful solid black 4 year old registered paint gelding, and "Faith" a kind sorrel 10/11 year old Quarter horse mare.

Faith has already found a home with our newest FSS members Whitney and Dan Lewis.  Whitney has started riding Faith, and has big plans for her.  Faith is kept with the FSS horses at Laurel Ridge Sport Horses LLC in Temecula.

Why Donate to Us?

  • You are supporting the horse industry directly by linking up horses with suitable and permanent homes.  Help us get some young riders on the horse of their dreams!

  • Many of our members own horse property and are not burdened by board bills.  The horses are members of the family.

  • We are NOT a professional horse rescue and only take donations one or two at a time.  This ensures that each horse gets lots of care and everything else that it needs.
